PACTOR FORUM 1997

PACTOR NEWS hosted the 1997 PACTOR Forum at the Dayton Hamvention® which was held on SATURDAY, MAY 17th, 1997 at Hara Arena.

The speakers were:

• Phil Sussman, N8PS, Editor of PACTOR NEWS, who talked about the expansion of PACTOR NEWS and the need for support for a written publication.
  

• Jay Townsend, WS7I, spoke about the need to support HF Digital modes in the face of competition from the Internet.
  

• Randy Gawtry, K0CBH, President of Timewave, spoke about Timewave's purchase of the digital assets of AEA. He promised support and service for current AEA products. Timewave will use the AEA name for one year and then migrate to using the name Timewave.
  

• Ari Surkiss, 4X6UO, who was scheduled to speak was unable to attend Dayton this year.
  

The usual open Forum question session was hosted by Phil Sussman, N8PS, from PACTOR NEWS.
